The annoying thing about watching the Super Bowl here in the UK is that, because the BBC is commercial free, we don’t get to enjoy all the amazing halftime ads making their debut in that most expensive slot (and, not being a big football fan, watching the adverts was always my primary motivation for doing so). Thus, it wasn’t until a link popped up in my boob mail inbox this morning proclaiming Teleflora Supports Love of Large Breasts that I saw their new Your Rack is Unreal ad wherein a lovelorn lad sitting in a sound studio solicits the assistance of Faith Hill in composing a Valentine’s Day e-card for his paramour because his heart told him to do so. “And wouldn’t we all love to tell our girlfriends on Valentine’s Day that what we really love about them isn’t their sweet personality but their gigantic, pendulous breasts that give us endless pleasure?” asks the accompanying article, as if we should find this far less than erotic expression of lust offensive in some way.

Now, I may be in the massive mammaries minority here, but is telling your extra busty girlfriend you love her big tits not romantic enough? Granted, I suppose the ad’s huge hooters loving anti-hero could have gone on to expound upon his affections beyond his objet d’amour’s most obvious anatomical assets, perhaps proclaiming his undying lust for what lies deep within his well-endowed woman (and, no, I’m not talking about her sexy cervix, either, although I did make a girl’s day once when I’d remarked that she had a cute one) since it’s intrinsically implied his big boobs Valentine wouldn’t find the fact her large breast loving boyfriend is attracted to her big tits touching in the least.

For me, this reciprocally sexist ad merely exemplifies the blatant sexual inequality of a growing gender gap. After all, what red-blooded male would ever be offended by a greeting card from a girl expressing her admiration for his enormous endowment?
