If you have been to Brasil, or the Dominican Republic and actually intreacted with the people, you will well know they thy do no ascribe to being considered “black” simply because they have African ancestry. It is not a point of pride or honour as in the UK or US. Only 10% of the people indentify with being Negro (in Romance languages such as Portugeuse negro simply means black, and is not in itself a degrogatory term).

The former colonies in the America of Great Britain are infinitely better off than those of other colonial nations. Just look at your (US)Presidential elections. There is no comparison. Back to the matter: many afrodecendants in Central, S.America and the Carribean are especially “race” consious, putting themselves into catergories that defy correct taxonomy. (For example many residents of the Dominican Republic claim to be of Taino Indian heritage, even though that people became extinct 100 years prior to their arrival). My theory is that “Cheron”, if she is indeed Brasilian, does not show her face for shame of her ethnic background. In fact though I am drawn to believe she is of N.
